Ohikulkija (The Passer-by) is a poem by Antti Arponen created in 1978 based on his painting with the same name. While the actual painting may be lost, Ohikulkija carries on the journey now re-born as a song, and we may continue asking "Kuka hän oli? Mistä hän tuli?" (Who was he*? Where did he* come from?) * with the exception that "hän" is the gender-neutral Finnish pronoun that treats everyone equally. Therefore anyone can end up being or choose to be a passer-by.
